Capella Gives Back

With many hotels yet to open following the pandemic, some, like the Capella Group, are using this downtime to give back to their local communities.

Capella Ubud has launched a Solitude in Nature experience designed to encourage mental and spiritual wellbeing. Five per cent of all proceeds from the Solitude in Nature experience will be donated to local families in the Keliki village impacted by COVID-19.

Over at The Upper House, Hong Kong, Café Gray Deluxe is working with the Foodlink Foundation, a charity collecting safe-to-eat surplus food for disadvantaged communities affected by the pandemic. Guests ordering from the online delivery menu can add a minimum HK$50 to their order to buy a food bag containing rice, noodles, oats, canned food and soup, cereal bars and hand sanitiser.

In Shanghai, many nurses chose to postpone their wedding to work on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19. Capella Shanghai will offer them a complimentary one-night stay in its Shikumen Villa and three complimentary wedding gowns to wear on their big day in partnership with Nora Reve Bridal.
