Bremont Ambassador Summits World’s Tallest Mountains in World Record Time

In just six months and six days, Nirmal “Nims” Purja has completed his challenge to summit Earth’s 14 tallest mountains, smashing the previous record of almost eight years and taking his place in mountaineering history with the help of Bremont’s Project Possible.

The Earth’s 14 tallest mountains, all higher than 8,000m, enter the ‘death zone’, so-called because human life cannot exist there. This did not deter Purja, who joins a list of just 40 climbers to have completed what’s frequently considered the ultimate mountaineering goal.

The clock stopped on Nims’ attempt as he reached the summit of Shishpangma on 29 October at 8:58 hrs local time, beating the world record by seven years, five months and eight days.
