The Middle House Shanghai: An Oasis of Calm

An urban sanctuary in one of the world’s most dynamic cities. Swire’s Middle House Shanghai is the fourth hotel in the House Collective from Swire Hotels.

Located inside the Taikoo Hui mall, the hotel features 111 studios designed by architect Piero Lissoni, who marries minimalist style with classical Shanghainese elements.

There are three restaurants and bars: restaurant/lounge bar Café Gray Deluxe, the acclaimed eatery by chef Gray Kunz that originally debuted at The Upper House Hong Kong. The kitchen of Frasca is brought to life by Stefano Pace, who previously helmed the two Michelin starred restaurant Gusto in Rome and founded Shanghai favourite D.O.C Gastronomia Italian.

Chinese restaurant Sui Tang Li is helmed by Tony Ye, who delivers artisan dim sum and creative dishes influenced by Shanghainese, Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine.

The hotel additionally houses a heated indoor swimming pool and 24-hour gym facilities with wellness studio. Group yoga sessions, meanwhile, help guests unwind from the city’s hustle bustle.
