Red Planet Sapporo Susukino South Makes Stylish Debut

Japan’s tech-savvy budget hotel chain, Red Planet, has added a new property to its portfolio, the the 123-room Red Planet Sapporo Susukino South, which opened in June.

Located within walking distance of Housui Susukino Station and adjacent to the Susukino downtown area, the Tanukikoji shopping arcade is a short walk away.

The lobby includes a bank of Apple computers, an Info Wall with insider information on events and activities in the area and a Photo-Me screen, where guests can take selfies. Its app, In-Stay Mode, enables guests to chat directly with the hotel's front desk prior to arriving at the hotel.

As one of the host cities for the Rugby World Cup 2019, Sapporo is an increasingly attractive destination for domestic and international tourists. The group will open an additional hotel in Sapporo's central district in 2019.
