Jetwing Surf – A Slice of Sustainable Paradise in Sri Lanka

Discreetly situated on an exclusive stretch of beach at Arugam Bay, Jetwing Surf offers direct access to the world-famous waves of Pottuvil Point from 20 cabanas looking out to the Indian Ocean. Sustainability is at the core of the hotel’s design: the cabanas have an iluk roof to minimise heat build-up during the day and a steep roof pitch to prevent stagnation of warm air, while open-air bathrooms require no mechanical ventilation. Facilities include an infinity pool, and a naturalist is on hand to put guests in touch with the area’s flora and fauna.

Largely unexplored, highlights of the hotel’s neighbouring regions include the ancient monastery of Kudumbigala, which features Sri Lanka’s only cylindrical dagoba, and the temple ruins of Sastrawela Maninaga Pabbatha Viharaya.
