A Thoroughly Modern Marine Watch: the Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur

Named for the small, fast “torpedo” ships of the 19th century, the Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur is a lighter, thinner version of the iconic Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer. Housed in a 42mm case, the style and layout of the watch is reminiscent of the brand’s 19th century chronometers and features elongated Roman numerals. It is powered by the self-winding in-house UN-118 movement and features the same 60-hour power reserve and Silicium anchor escapement as the Marine Chronometer. The watch is offered in steel and yellow gold with a white enamel dial, or steel with a deep blue sunburst dial and is water resistant to 50m.
