Royal Caribbean Unveils Largest Cruise Ship Ever, Symphony of the Seas

Clocking in at 1,188 feet long and with 18 decks, Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship, Symphony of the Seas, will be the largest cruise ship in the world.

Ready to set sail next April, Symphony will spend her inaugural summer season sailing around the Mediterranean visiting destinations including Barcelona, Provence, Florence and Naples. She will then set sail to Miami in early November to begin seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

With 2,775 rooms – 28 more than its other large ship, Harmony the ship will be manned by 2,175 crew members. There are seven distinct “neighbourhoods” on board, including the tree-lined Central Park and the Royal Promenade for luxury shopping. Symphony also will feature a 10-story slide, Ultimate Abyss, and kids’ waterpark Splashaway Bay.

Symphony’s inaugural year of European and Caribbean itineraries are now available to book, starting with her maiden voyage on 21 April 2018.
