Constance Mauritius Gets Green Globe Certification

Saving energy and water, recycling and protecting fauna and flora has enabled the Constance Hotels and Resorts establishments in Mauritius, the Seychelles and the Maldives to be awarded Green Globe certification for the third consecutive year. Constance Hotels and Resorts is the first Mauritian hotel group to receive Green Globe certification.

Since 2014, several projects have been put in place to make the hotels and resorts more environmentally friendly. The hotel protects the nesting sites of sea turtles and uses organic waste for composting, for example.

This third certification was approved after a Green Globe auditor assessed the implementation of the measures announced during the 2016 audit. The Constance Hotels and Resorts’ establishments obtained the following results: Constance Halaveli Maldives, Constance Belle Mare Plage Mauritius and Constance Moofushi Maldives were all awarded 90 per cent. Constance Le Prince Maurice Mauritius, Constance Lémuria Seychelles and Constance Ephélia Seychelles all scored 89 per cent.
