Element Kuala Lumpur – The Tallest Eco-friendly Hotel in the City

Marriott has bought the Element hotel brand to Southeast Asia with the opening of Element Kuala Lumpur this May. Designed by globally-acclaimed architects Foster + Partners, the hotel is housed within the 275 meter tall Ilham Tower, making it the tallest green hotel in the city.

With 252 rooms, the hotel is Green Building Index (GBI) certified and incorporates several eco-friendly initiatives including a rainwater harvesting system, indoor air quality CO2 monitor and energy-efficient LED lighting. The hotel’s indoor pool uses saline instead of chlorine which is safer for the environment and those swimming in it, while a bike lending programme encourages guests to cut down their carbon emissions by exploring the city on two wheels.

Equipped with energy-efficient appliance and NCF certified filtered tap water, the open plan studios and multi-room suites make the hotel suitable for for larger groups and extended stay travellers.
