Alila Fort Bishangarh Delivers Heritage Spa Chic

Tucked away in the Aravali hills in Rajasthan and grandly located on a granite hill, Alila’s newest Indian property, Alila Fort Bisgangarh, is housed in a 230-year old fortress.

Opening this July, the 59-suite hotel is a fine example of Jaipur Gharana architecture, and features the fort’s original two-metre thick walls and its battlement turrets and arches. There are four accommodation types, from the entry level heritage rooms to the regal suites, each featuring daybeds set against jerokha-style windows overlooking rural Bisgangarh.

Spa Alila is housed in the fortress’s former dungeon and carved out of granite rocks, where guests can sample treatments such as the brand’s signature anti-ageing Babor facial and organise yoga sessions in the land where it all began.
