Emirates to Launch a Newly Enhanced Onboard Lounge

Enjoy cocktails in the sky at the newly relaunched Onboard Lounge, part of Emirates’ multimillion dollars enhancement programme for the A380.

While retaining the trademark horseshoe-shaped bar, the lounge, inspired by private yacht cabins, will accommodate up to 26 passengers at a time, including eight seated, and will offer more space with a new seating arrangement along the windows on both sides of the aircraft.

The lounge will feature an airier look, with lighter champagne colours used in the cabin and lounge seating, accented by a glossy dark wood trim. The airline will introduce soundproof curtains to partition the lounge area from the Business Class cabin, and will put in additional soft ambient lighting options, new window blinds, and subwoofers for surround sound. The lounge will also feature a 55-inch LCD screen that offers the latest flight information and live TV broadcasts of the latest news or sports updates.

All of Emirates’ 93 A380s currently in service feature the Onboard Lounge. The enhanced lounge products will be located on the upper deck of the aircraft, which are accessible by First and Business Class passengers. At the lounge, customers can enjoy gourmet canapés, handpicked wines from around the world, and limited edition fine spirits, as well as signature cocktails prepared by the bartender.
