Regent to Debut in Chongqing

The first urban resort in the mega-city, Regent Chongqing will open this month to offer travellers exceptional luxurious experiences in the heart of China.

The 202-room Regent Chongqing is situated in the heart of the city, set between the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, and is a 30-minute drive from the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and 10-minute drive to Jiefanbei or Guanyinqiao centre.

The 181 guestrooms have an average size of 57sqm and offer spacious five-fixture bathrooms, while 21 suites have an average size of 182sqm. There are six versatile function rooms and a 75sqm Regent Ballroom, all of which offer state-of-the-art facilities and river views. Other facilities at the resort include a fully-equipped health and gym, and Wellspring Spa with sauna, jacuzzi, and in-door heated swimming pool.

The resort’s modern interior design echoes the economic importance of Chongqing in today’s China, while paying homage to the city’s heritage, through the use of traditional building materials like ceramic and jade.

On-property dining options include an outdoor rooftop bar located on the fifth floor, with views of Jialing River and Yuzhong, making for the perfect location for private parties; Yu Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant offering authentic Asian dishes; and Robin’s Grill & Teppanyaki, a specialty steak and teppanyaki restaurant with an extensive wine cellar.
