SabiSabi Bush Lodge

SabiSabi Private Game Reserve in South Africa has unveiled a new look to its iconic Bush Lodge, a true home in the heart of the Bushveld for more than 35 years, taking family and friends on a journey through Africa.

Designers Derrick Tabbert Interiors and Design Republic have used unique pieces collected from SabiSabi founders Hilton and Jacqui Loon’s travels across Africa; guests are greeted by an ornate carved reception desk, with evoking images of Arabic traders from Northern Africa, which an oversized Chesterfield couch sits atop a black and white tiled floor, a nod to the colonial travellers of the 1900s.

The welcoming bar, with its accents of green, copper and glass, showcases a carefully-curated collection of South African craft beers, craft gins, and boutique wines. Leather armchairs invite a cool drink after a hot day on safari. An extension of the enormous thatch roof spans the indoor/outdoor dining area, and extends over the viewing deck and safari lounge, wonderful spots from which to watch wildlife at the waterhole beyond. The welcoming safari lounge completes the new look with inviting leather ottomans, antique wooden benches, and West African stools.

This haven in the bush is further complemented by the recent transformation of the Mandleve Presidential suite; the camp’s luxury suites; and the creation of two indulgent two-bedroom Luxury Villas.
