G Hotel Gurney in Penang Unveils New Look

The 312 room G Hotel Gurney in Penang has emerged from a major facelift revealing a chic lobby, trendy food and beverage outlets, and sophisticated meeting rooms.

The hotel’s glass lobby has been furnished with Italian designer furniture from Minotti and Porada, while rooms feature pieces by UK designer Camerich, Serta mattresses, 300 thread count linens, Herman Miller designer work chairs, 55-inch smart HD LED TVs, and eco-friendly Appelles toiletries.

The hotel has also added an additional five function rooms, each featuring natural daylight and Herman Miller chairs, bringing the hotel’s meeting facilities to a total of nine meeting rooms and two ballrooms, both of which are fully equipped with Bose sound systems, the largest LED screens in Penang, refined linens and unique mood lighting.

The hotel’s restaurants and bars have also been revamped. Taste offers the freshest ingredients all day with the city’s first Lava Stone barbeque grill imported from Indonesia, while Tree Bar, a favourite amongst happy hour-goers, is the largest al-fresco bar in Penang,and sits under an 80-year-old “AlbiziaSaman” rain tree.
