Scenic to Redesign France-based Space Ships for 2017

Dedicated to offering a more enjoyable experience for its guests, Scenic will redesign its France-based ‘Space Ships’, including the Scenic Diamond, which plys the rivers of Bordeaux, and the Scenic Sapphire, which cruises the Rhône and Saône in the south of France, in time for the 2017 season.

Highlights of the refresh will include a reduced cabin count to 78 (down from 84) but with the same crew number, offering one of the highest guest to crew ratios in Europe. Two new 510sqft Royal Owners Suites will be added and the wellness centers will be expanded, while a new private cooking emporium, Scenic Culinaire, will offer tailored cooking classes with recipes based on the itinerary regions. The dedicated space will feature cooking stations and a cheese and wine cellar, as well as real-time cameras and screens to ensure each participant can see every cooking move in detail.

An array of new Scenic Enrich experiences will also be on offer, including Scenic Rouge in Lyon, where guests will enjoy a traditional French cabaret performance and an exclusive four-course dining experience with matched vintages at the acclaimed Mumm Champagne house in Riems.
