Bespoke Culinary Experiences in Chiang Mai

For those looking to taste and experiment a variety of Thai spices and flavours, Sireeampan Boutique Resort & Spa - an intimate 11-suite luxury resort in the heart of Chiang Mai - has launched a selection of bespoke culinary experiences, including cocktail classes, cooking classes and the Lanna Signature Pinto (Northern Thai Basket) Picnic.

All cocktail classes take place in the resort’s warm and sophisticated Sip Piano Lounge and Wine Cellar, where students work with an on-site mixologist and learn to make traditional Thai cocktails of their choice, ranging from Lychee Martinis, Tom Yam Martinis, Mango Mojitos, Blood Diamond Cocktails and Ampan Martinis, to Green Curry Cocktails and Sour & Spicy Cocktails.

Led by chef NarongritKroddum, the two-hour private Thai cooking class allows guests to create three of their favourite Thai dishes, such as Som Tam, Porpeah Tod, Tom Yam Goog, Tom KhaGoong, Tom KhaGai, GaentKeaw Wan Gai, PhadKraprao, Yam Mamuang and Pad Thai. Students also have a chance to take a trip to the local market and the Royal Project Foundation’s organic shop, where they can learn how to select quality ingredients.

Guests can choose to enjoy the Lanna Signature Pinto Picnicat the sala, in the garden, by the swimming pool, or on the terrace of their private studio or suite. The picnic basket includes marinated Thai-style pork spareribs with Thai lanna chili sauce; Lanna sausages with white and black sticky rice; Pad Thai spring rolls; coconut prawns with special sauce; and Thai desserts or seasonal fruits, along with signature cocktails or fresh Thai iced tea.
