Scenic Launches South America Program for 2017

Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours has introduced its South America program for 2017, featuring three new tours, new Enrich experiences, a range of Freechoice activities, plus a new hotel in the Sacred Valley in Peru.

Starting off in Lima, the 19-day Peru Discoverytour will take in the beauty of the Sacred Valley, Cuzcocity and Lake Titicaca, before visiting the country's cultural capital Trujillo; the Unesco-listed Chan Chan ruins; the colonial city of Arequipa; and the incredible Colca Canyon, home to the rare Andean condor.

The 16-day Peru Adventure & Galapagos Cruise will showcase the very best of Peru and Ecuador,including the dynamic wildlife of the Galapagos National Park; while the 25-day South American Adventure with Rio Carnival will travel from Lima to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, where guests can immense themselves in the world famous carnival. This is the first time for Scenic to offer its guests the chance to attend the Champions Parade in the Sambadrome.The tour will also include visits tothe Amazon, the vibrant Buenos Aires, and the spectacular Iguazú Falls in Argentina.

The 2017 program will also see the launch of a new Enrich experience in Cuba – a visit to a family run paladarrestaurant where guests can enjoy local Cuban specialities – and a variety ofnew Freechoice activities in Cuzco, including a Chinchero village tour; and in Bariloche,Argentina, ranging from zip-lining and cable car ride to the top of Cerro Campanario, tocruise across NahuelHuapi Lake.

Also new for 2017 are two Scenic Special Stay hotels: the explora Valle Sagrado in the Sacred Valley, and Luciano K, a small boutique hotel in Santiago.
