Taste of Asia Comes to Hong Kong

Foodies bound for Hong Kong will need to leave days for grazing at the city’s first Taste of Asia event, taking place on the Central Harbourfront March 10-13. Taste of Hong Kong brings some of the city’s best restaurants and chefs together at one action packed event, with the city’s skyscrapers as a breath-taking backdrop.

 

With gourmet dining, masterclasses, wine tastings, and cooking demonstrations on offer over four days, look out for the likes of Aberdeen Street Social, Amber, Arcane, Chino, Duck & Waffle, Duddell’s, Serge et Le Phoque, Tin Lung Heen, Tosca, Yardbird and Ronin. 

 

Gourmands can discover the secret cooking techniques of a selection of Hong Kong’s much-loved chefs at the Bosch Taste Theatre. Culinary stars and world class chefs will be cooking their favourite recipes during live cooking demonstrations hosted by Debbie Wong of Food Network.

 

After sampling some of the 40 dishes on offer, make your way to the spectacular pop-up Laurent Perrier Champagne Bar for a glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut, Cuvée Rosé Laurent-Perrier, Vintage 2006, Ultra Brut Laurent-Perrier and the prestige Cuvée Grand Siècle. Foodie enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy a unique gourmet journey discovering how to perfectly pair each wine with signature dishes from Taste of Hong Kong restaurants in dedicated masterclasses.

 

Wine connoisseurs can continue their exploratory journey at the WynnsCoonawarra Estate “Make Your Own Blend” wine experience during which participants will be guided in the art of wine blending, learning to appreciate the characteristics, fragrance and palate of different grape varieties.

 

Afterwards, why not head on over to the Sunday's Grocery 'Sake Bar',which will feature the establishment’s house Junmai and JunmaiNigori plus a selection of six unique styles of sake from six of Japan’s most exciting producers. Sake masterclasses will provide an in-depth look at each sake, including the history and production methods of the six breweries.

 

The icing on the cake is the Stella Artois VIP Lounge.
