French Fête at the Place

Cordis, Hong Kong's all day dining restaurant, The Place, is ringing in the New Year with a warming French themed buffet starting on January 1, 2016.Available during lunch and dinner, signature dishes designed and prepared to match the French theme include starters, casseroles, live stations and classic French desserts.

 

The buffet includes Escargot with Gratin Potato with the escargot baked to perfection placed on top of a bed of creamy gratin potato, Steak Au Poivre, a classic French entrée and Lobster with Cheese Gratin.

Seafood on ice, a popular spectacle on the buffet, will make its appearance with the accompaniment of Live Shucked Oysters, Gravlax Salmon, Canadian Snow Crab Legs and Mussels. Oysters with Sabayon Sauce will be served alongside a live station of Pan Fried Foie Gras and a selection of French cheese.

 

The dinner buffet introduces the classic French seafood and shellfish stew, Bouillabaisse, Beef Wellington, and pastry wrapped Salmon enCroûte. Ending off the night are French desserts, Crȇpe Suzette, a crêpe with caramelized orange sauce with sugar and butter served flambéed, Éclairs, assorted Macarons, French Napoleon Mille-Feuille and sweet delight Charlotte Cake.

The Place French buffet is available from 1 January 2016 to 29 February 2016 during lunch and dinner hours, with the exclusion of 14 February 2016. www.cordishotels.com
