St. Regis Introduce Jamie Cullum as Newest Connoisseur

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has named Jamie Cullum, the award-winning jazz-pop singer-songwriter, as its newest St. Regis Connoisseur. In his role as brand ambassador, Cullum will continue to lead the much buzzed about Jazz Legends at St. Regis series, which to date has brought intimate yet electric jazz performances to New York, Washington, DC, Istanbul, San Francisco, Mexico City and Bangkok.


Launching January 2016, the celebrated artist has lent his ear to curate jazz music for the public spaces of all St. Regis hotels and resorts globally. In addition, Cullum masterfully compiled his favorite tunes, capturing a variety of moods, for a playlist which will be available on this month.


Throughout the Jazz Age, the Rooftop Ballroom at the iconic St. Regis New York played host to some of the most renowned jazz musicians with unforgettable performances from greats like Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Buddy Rich. This rich musical legacy makes jazz the soundtrack of the St. Regis brand even today.


British-born Jamie Cullum's love of music was cemented after he discovered jazz as a teenager through artists like Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis. After studying English and Film at college, he channeled his passion for music into a career as a singer and pianist. Carving his own path in the music industry, Cullum made his mark through his ability to blur genres with a unique sound born from jazz, pop and rock. His special sound has translated into multi-platinum sales and global success with awards and nominations around world.
