First Le Méridien Resort Opens in India

Travellers can now get away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai and Pune with the opening of the first Le Méridien resort in India, located only a few short hours away. Recently opened in Mahabaleshwar, a quaint hill town in the Western Ghats range, the resort features 122 stylishly appointed guestrooms and suites with private balconies.

For culinary experiences, guests are spoilt for choice: Latest Recipe, the interactive all day dining restaurant, features an evocative mix of international, Asian and local cuisines, while Chingari, the Indian specialty restaurant, offers some of the most diverse flavours and fiery preparations of northern India. The pool-side restaurant, Plunge Bar, allows guests to savour canapés and sublime cocktails and spirits, while Longitude 73 transforms from a casual coffee house by day to a vibrant social scene by night.

Other resort facilities include the Explore Spa by Le Méridien, a well-equipped fitness centre along with a lagoon style swimming pool and a rooftop infinity pool, a ballroom, and Le Méridien Family Kids Club, where children can get a complimentary LEGO Welcome Amenity.

Guests can also enjoy seamless access to the quaint hill town's rich tapestry of offerings, including a curated visit to the Devrai Art Village and the 5,000-year-old Krishna Devi temple, courtesy of the brand's UNLOCK ART programme.
