New Destinations Ahoy

AlilaPurnama, the luxury phinisiboat of Alila Hotels and Resorts, will cruise new waters with two new itineraries departing Flores bound for Ambon and Raja Ampat in Indonesia’s far east.

The Maumere to Ambon Expedition departs September 29 and leaves Flores’ eastern coast and crosses the Banda Sea bound for the mountainous island of Ambon, part of a chain of volcanic islands on the northern side of the famed Banda Islands. The Ambon to Raja Ampat Expedition will continue on from October 13, crossing the Banda and Ceram Seas to the archipelago of Raja Ampat, considered one of the world’s best diving spots and famed for its marine biodiversity.

AlilaPurnama, translated as The Full Moon, is one of the most luxurious liveaboardphinisiboat in the region, providing ultra-modern and relaxing accommodation for up to ten guests, pampered by an experienced crew of 16. The 46m AlilaPurnama consists of three decks and has been built by hand in the traditional style of a phinisi, as used by the Bugis seafarers from south Sulawesi in Indonesia.
