Silk Road Seduction

Inspired by the Shanghai Tang Silk Road Fragrance Collection, created in collaboration with renowned master perfumer Carlos Benaimto conjure the spirit of past and present China through multi-layered scents, the Langham Hong Kong has unveiled new olfactory-inspired cocktails at its elegant Artesian Bar.

Artesian mixologist Rajendra “Rush” Limbu, inspired by Shanghai Tang’s Rose Silkand Spring Jasmine perfumes, has created two unique cocktails: the Rose Silkcaptures the namesake fragrance’s accents of rose petals, cardamom, vetiver and musk with rose Champagne, elderflower liqueur, a rose jam infusion, a rose petal garnish, candied silver pearls and a spray of rose water. The Spring Jasmine’s scent, which includes touches of violet, creamy sandalwood and sheer musk, inspired Rush to create the non-alcoholic Spring Jasmine mocktail, made with jasmine tea, lemon juice, jasmine syrup, and mixed with mint, dry lemon and lemongrass. The Silk Road Collection will be on display at the Artesian bar for guests to test the fragrance while sipping their favourite concoction.

Patrons who purchase either the Rose Silk Cocktail or Spring Jasmine Mocktail, as well as guests who are checking in to the hotel, will also receive a Shanghai Tang VIP privilege card entitled to 10 percent off the regular price products and 20 percent off Shanghai Tang’s Imperial Tailoring Collection. In addition, present the VIP privilege card and the drink purchase receipt at the Shanghai Tang Boutique located at 1881 Heritage to receive a complimentary mini fragrance from the Silk Road Collection while supplies last.
