Ayurveda in Goa

The luxurious Alila Diwa Goa, situated on the beautiful Majorda Beach on India’s west coast, is offering guests a chance to unwind and restore the body’s delicate balance with a new Ayurveda detox programme designed and led by the resort’s in-house expert, Dr. Arjita Kumari.

Designed to cleanse, restore and nourish, the new Detox Detour programme at the Spa Alila aims to overhaul the mind and body with a holistic approach towards balancing the body’s physical, physiological and psychological mechanisms. Through the week-long course, all aspects of health and wellbeing are addressed, with each element of the retreat completely customised to individual’s needs.

Guests will begin the program with an in-depth consultation that covers their nutrition, health and stress levels. During the retreat, they will regain balance in the body with sessions of pranic healing, hypnotherapy, daily yoga, meditation and exercise. These activities will be combined with nutritionally-balanced meals, juices and Ayurvedic supplements, as well as daily workshops, massages and cooking classes. The idea behind this holistic approach is to give guests the necessary tools to continue these life changes once they leave the retreat.

Alila Diwa Goa’s Detox Detour retreat is available throughout the year. Prices for a three-night retreat start from US$948 for single occupancy or US$1,234 for double occupancy. Specially tailored packages of five, seven, 10 or 14 nights are also available by request. www.alilahotels.com
