K-Pop Comes to Hong Kong’s Peak

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong will add an all-new exhibition zone this May, just in time for the attraction’s 15th anniversary. Called K-Wave, the new zone will be the 10th in the venue’s celebration of all things celebrity, and will allow visitors to get up close to their favourite Korean celebrities.

In total, seven wax figures will be on display in the new Korean zone, and the first to be unceiled is Kim Soo-hyn, lead actor in runaway hit TV show My Love from the Star. Other Korean superstars represented in the collection will include U-Know Yun-ho and Max Changmin from TVXQ!; Nichkhun Horvejkul from boyband 2PM; and Bae Yong-joon, the actor best known for his role in Winter Sonata.

The figures will be set against the backdrop of Myeong-dong Street, allowing fans to experience the vibrancy of the city of Soul, and will also feature a replica of the study from My Love from the Star where fans can reenact classic scenes. Fans will also have the chance to join figures on stage and dance to K-pop tunes while sporting their very own K-pop looks from the backstage dressing room.
