Favourite Californian Vintages Come to Bali

On February 7, The Laguna Bali resort will present an exclusive dinner featuring the exquisite wines of Beringer Vineyards, an award-winning winery located in California’s Napa Valley. The event will be curated by sommelier Yudhi Suryawan, and co-hosted by Nicole Carter, vice-president of Beringer Vineyards.

For the event, chef Aris Supriyanto, of the resort’s Arwana Restaurant, has created an indulgent five-course degustation menu that has been carefully paired with six distinguished wines from Beringer. Dinner includes courses of scallops and quail egg; house-smoked Tasmanian salmon and Alaskan king crab; foie gras on brioche; slow-braised duck and Black Angus beef. The wine pairings feature a 2012 Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay; a 2012 Pinot Noir; a 2011 Merlot; and a 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. Diners will complete the decadent experience with a Williams pair iced soufflé, accompanied by a non-vintage sparkling Zinfandel.

The Beringer dinner experience will begin with cocktails and canapés from 7pm at the Arwana Terrace Bar, followed by dinner at the Arwana restaurant at 730. Priced at RP1,100,000 (US$87) per person.
