Arctic Cruising has Never Been Hotter

Aurora Expeditions has released a new series of fully-inclusive packages for their 2015 European Arctic season to provide passengers with a no-fuss Arctic experience. Focused on offering passengers better value, the packages offer seamless holiday planning and include all arrangements from start to finish. Including a renowned Aurora Expeditions' Arctic expedition on board the 54-passenger Polar Pioneer, the packages also offers return economy-class international flights from any Australian capital city, internal flights, pre- and post-cruise accommodation, city tours, and transfers.

The packages are available on a selection of Aurora Expeditions' 2015 European Arctic expeditions including the 14-day Across the Arctic Circle and the 14-day Jewels of the Arctic, which also features a complimentary photography workshop by Aurora Expeditions' expert polar photography guide, Joshua Holko.

The Across the Arctic Circle expedition will allow passengers to experience a diverse range of experiences from Scotland's Orkney and Shetland Islands, where a treasure trove of archaeology, history, and wildlife awaits, to Norway's dramatic coastline of spectacular fjords and picturesque fishing villages. Crossing the Arctic Circle at 66° 33′N, be prepared to enter a polar wonderland where delicate wildflowers adorn tundra and the summer sun never sets – and, of course, the breeding ground of walrus, reindeer, millions of birds, and the mighty polar bear.

Further north, the Jewels of the Arctic offers passengers a complete Arctic experience as well as provide the opportunity for budding photographers to capture a perfect Arctic photograph with complimentary Canon-accredited photography workshops. Departing Iceland's northwest, passengers will cruise along Greenland's remote coastline, entering some of the world's biggest fjord systems to Zodiac cruise past giant glaciers and through a maze of towering icebergs – the perfect subjects of any Arctic photograph. Inuit communities offer warm welcomes and tundra walks allow opportunities to search for musk ox, Arctic hare, and Arctic fox. Ending in Spitsbergen, sail north in search of walrus and polar bear before exploring the island's town of Longyearbyen.

Both voyages are available as part of a fully-inclusive package that includes the expedition cruise as well as international and internal flights, accommodation, tours, and transfers. The 19-day Across the Arctic Circle package departs Australia on 28 June 2015 and starts from AU$11,995 (US$10,551) per person, twin share. The 19-day Jewels of the Arctic package departs Australia on 14 August 2015 and starts from AU$12,695 (US$ 11,124) per person, twin share.
