Adventure Through Exotic Locales in 2015

Adventure company Secret Compass is set to challenge travellers in summer 2015 with three new expeditions to the exotic destinations of Armenia, Kyrgystan, and Sinai. Guests will trek the southern highlands of Amenia on Armenia – Fables, Myths, and Legends; mountain bike through the Talas Mountains on MTB Kyrgyzstan; and take part in a classic desert trek in Sinai, Egypt: Nomadic Desert Crossing

Travellers on the Armenian trip will explore the legends behind this region as they summit Mount Khustrup and Mount Aramazd on the way to the historic city and monastery of Tatev, immersing themselves in the region’s rolling valleys and high-altitude ridges. Mountain bike enthusiasts will put their skills to the test on the world’s first commercial biking expedition through the Talas Mountains while also exploring the Central Asian nation of Kyrgyzstan. And only the most determined will take on the Sinai itinerary, where intrepid adventurers will venture the Sinai desert armed with just a goat-skin water bladder and a Bedouin blanket to keep them warm at night as they trek across the southern Sinai Peninsula on foot.

Armenia: Fables, Myths and Legends is an eight-night journey from GBP1,599 (US$2,551) per person; MTB Kyrgyzstan is a 13-day itinerary from GBP2,499 (US$3,988) per person; and Sinai, Egypt: Nomadic Desert Crossing is a 15-night trip from GBP1,999 (US$3,190) per person.
