The Langham Hong Kong Spearheads New Global Initiative

Celebrating the new Palm Court lounge at The Langham Hong Kong, which has just been made over as part of the hotel’s glamorous facelift, the hotel has launched The Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood. A global collaboration between Langham Hotels and renowned British brand Wedgwood, the new initiative is a bespoke version of the traditional afternoon tea where Wedgwood specialty teas will be served in custom-made ‘Langham Rose’ tea wear by Wedgwood, along with unique menus created by Langham Hotels’ pastry chefs. The Langham Hong Kong is the first hotel to launch this exclusive afternoon tea.

The Hong Kong hotel’s new award-winning executive pastry chef, Reinhard Lacker, has created a sumptuous menu of delicate finger sandwiches, cakes, pastries, desserts and scones. The experiences begins by selecting a tea from the Wedgwood range with the help of a certified tea sommelier, before guests can indulge in a range of sweet and savoury treats designed by Lacker. On offer are signature morsels like Rose-scented Lychee Mousse, Berry Crumble, and Crispy Raspberry Éclair; finger sandwiches that include crab, cucumber and avocado, and The Langham’s in-house smoked salmon with crème fraîche and dill; and plain and golden raisin scones served with Devonshire clotted cream, and strawberry and rose preserve.

The Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood will be served at the Palm Court lounge between 3pm and 530pm on weekdays; or over two sittings between 215pm and 415pm or 430pm and 630 on weekends. The tea includes a glass of Veuve Cliquot NV champagne and an appetiser, and is priced at HK$428 (US$55) for one person, and HK$698 (US$90) for two.
