Safaris of Adventure and Style

Adventure travel specialist Aurora Expeditions are taking on Africa’s ‘Big Five’ with the announcement that they will debut a new 14-day African Cruise Safari in 2015. Designed to showcase the best of southern Africa, the expedition will use boat, bus, and jeep to explore the best nature and wildlife to be seen in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.

Travellers will begin their journey by exploring the rich history of Cape Town, with its iconic Table Mountain and nearby wine regions, before flying to Zimbabwe’s Victorial Falls to kick-off their journey in earnest. Along the way, the adventurers will stay in luxurious safari lodges in Hwange and Chobe National Parks to see elephants, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The trip’s highlight is a three-night cruise on the Chobe River aboard the Zambezi Queen, comfortable river cruiser where guests can spend their evenings on the decks of in the air-conditioned, mosquito-screened lounge while enjoying the nocturnal sounds of the surrounding wilderness.

Limited to just 28 passengers, the African Cruise Safari is priced from AU$7,990 (US$7,014) per person and includes all accommodation, transport, excursions, and most meals.
