Mauritius’ Latest Wellness Offerings

One& Only Le Saint Géran, a luxurious retreat nestled into a private peninsula on Mauritius’ northeastern coast, is launching a new series of wellness offerings that are designed to make this idyllic retreat that little bit more heavenly. Between October and December, renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner Ken Rosen will be visiting the resort to oversee the new treatments that include Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taoist Yoga, and Cosmetic Facial Accupressure.

For Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes acupuncture, guests are able to choose single sessions, or packages of three, five, or seven sessions which also includes personalised advice for lifestyle, nutrition, and possibly a herbal formula prescription. Based on the principles of heaven, man, and earth, Taoist Yoga increases suppleness and core strength, and aids in releases tension and increasing self-awareness. As well as offering private sessions, Rosen will lead complimentary classes for guests each Wednesday. The final part of Rosen’s trifecta is Cosmetic Facial Acupressure, an incredibly relaxing treatment which addresses wrinkles, furrowed eyebrows, and muscle tightness without needles. A minimum of three sessions are recommended, but single sessions are available.

Rounding out the new wellness offerings is the all-new 90-minute Ylang Ylang Ritual, a soothing, indulgent experience inspired by the Ylang Ylang that grow on the hillsides of Mauritius. The treatment begins with a relaxing foot cleanse, moving on to a gentle exfoliation and rich, nourishing body wrap, before finishing with a calming scalp massage.

The wellness rituals are priced between US$99 for a single session of Taoist Yoga, and US$265 for the Ylang Ylang Ritual.
