New York Culinary Giant comes to Indonesia



The Mulia Resort & Villas, located in Nusa Dua, Bali, and the Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, will host two-Michelin star chef Michael White of New York’s Marea restaurant this fall, creating a unique travel experience. Rated one of the top 40 most influential New Yorkers, chef Michael White has received a three-star rating from The New York Times, among numerous other accolades, for his flavourful interpretations of Italian cuisine.

Two gourmet dinners created by chef White will be held in October, one at each property. On October 4, The Mulia Resort & Villas will hold a degustation dinner at Soleil, its Mediterranean and Pan-Asian restaurant; the dinner is priced at IDR2,100,000++ per person (US$182++). A one-night weekend accommodation package is available for the event, ranging from US$535-590 for two people, depending on the choice of accommodation.

The second degustation dinner will be held on October 10 at Orient8, the French and Pan-Asian restaurant at the Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta. The dinner-only option is also priced at IDR2,100,000++ per person (US$182++). A one-night weekend accommodation package is also available for a stay at The Mulia Resort in Nusa Dua; guests who choose the package will be able to attend the dinner in Jakarta, and will receive a voucher for the stay, which is valid for six months. www.themulia.com
