Innovative Dining in Singapore

The new Sofitel So Singapore has opened its innovative signature restaurant Xperience, a relaxed yet stylish gastro-bar dining concept. Xperience promises to take guests on a one-of-a-kind interactive culinary journey of the senses;centre-stage is a magnificent custom-built matt-black and rose-gold 20-ft Molteni oven, where Sofitel So’s resident chef Anne-Cecile Degenne will take the helm, along with her expert team. Young, vibrant and dynamic, chef Degenne is Sofitel So Singapore’s resident culinary designer, and Singapore’s first female hotel executive chef. Degenne has worked with some of the world’s best chefs including Michel Bras and Jean Georges Vongerichten, and was recently hand-picked to participate in France’s competitive Top Chef Competition, where she was in the final six.

Xperience diners will be able to design their own customised menus, based on different culinary experiences - crunchy, juicy, smoky, creamy, silky, spicy and zesty – to name a few. Ensuring a social environment and tapping into the increasing trend for family-style sharing, dishes will be available in three sizes: XS for tasting, XM for a personal size and XL for sharing. At Xperience Restaurant the menu can be tailored to suit any mood, a sophisticated combination of international tastes and textures to surprise and delight. Must-try dishes include the foiegras and truffle siewmai;smoked salmon with vodka caviar;and Chipotle chili crab tacos. Xperience Bar features an extensive cocktail list that mirrors the restaurant, allowing guests to choose drinks based on their mood or create something from scratch. 35 wines by the glass ensure that all occasions can be catered to on 35 Robinson Road, and a lively vibe with a range of Resident DJ’s promises to entice passers-by.
