Hong Kong’s First Sake Event

Experience the best of Japan at Sake Room, Hong Kong’s first premium Japanese sake and food tasting event.

Whether you’re a sake novice or a well-initiated aficionado, you’ll experience free-flow tastings of more than 75 types of rare and award-winning sake from the International Wine Challenge, many of which are not available for retail. You’ll also enjoy unlimited food pairings of specialty items from six of Hong Kong’s top restaurants, including Iroha and Sushi Kuu, and have the chance to speak with guest chefs, sake sommeliers, and master sake brewers flown in from Japan especially for this event. Make sure not to miss the alfresco pop-up bar, helmed by International Bartender of the Year finalist Michael Callahan. Expect to try Callahan’s signature cocktails, a special selection of Japanese whiskies, Suntory beers, and more sake.

Sake Room will be held from 9-10 May at the HK Maritime Museum, Pier 8, Central. A smart casual dress code applies. Entry to the event is limited to four two-and-a-half sessions, each of which is open to 300 guests. Tickets are HK$800 (US$103) until April 15, HK880 (US$113) after this date, and HK$1,080 (US$139) at the door.
