Celebrating Rugby and Gastronomy

To kick-off the RBS Six Nations rugby tournament, The Langham London will host a memorable evening celebrating the sport and accompanied by a bespoke gastronomic experience on March 6. The exclusive affair will be hosted by former English rugby captain Will Carling and two-star Michelin chef Michel Roux Jr. just days before the English and Welsh rugby teams face-off on the field. Legendary players from both teams will be in attendance at the event, including England’s Brian Moore and Phil Vickery, and Wales’ Scott Quinnell and Robert Jones.

The event will start at 7pm with a Bollinger Champagne reception at the hotel’s Palm Court, during which guests will have a chance to mingle with their hosts, rugby players, and each other. Dinner will follow at 7.45pm at the stunning Roux at The Landau restaurant where diners will indulge in a bespoke five-course meal showcasing the best of Welsh and English culinary traditions, and matched with carefully selected wines chosen by legendary wine merchants Berry Brothers and Rudd. After dinner, Glenrothes whisky will be served as Will Carling leads the rugby legends in attendance in a conversation about their memories on and off the field.

The event is priced at £195 (US$320) per person and includes the Bollinger Champagne reception, a five-course dinner with wine pairings, Glenrothes whisky digestifs, coffee, and petits fours. Reservations can be requested at
