One Eleven Revamps the Concept of the Minibar

One Eleven, the recently opened adult-only sanctuary in Seminyak, Bali, is an exclusive property of just nine private pool villas, and prides itself on its all-or-nothing approach to makings guests feel relaxed and at home. Which is why in each of its 350sqm villas, One Eleven has done away with the concept of the traditional minibar, and has instead introduced the ‘maxibar’, which comes stocked with full-sized bottles and its accompanied by a daily cocktail hour visit by a private mixologist.

Before their arrivals, guests are invited to let the property know their preferences in champagne, spirits, and wines, so that their maxibar will be full of their favourite tipples. The One Eleven maxibar stocks Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve and Pol Roger Brut 2000 as standard, as well as a full range of local and international beers. The bar is replenished daily, and guests can summon their butler at any time of day to mix up their favourite concoctions. For the next morning, the villa butler can squeeze fresh fruit juices, including orange, watermelon and papaya.

Says David Beevers, One Eleven’s General Manager, “For us, the term ‘minibar’ conjures cramped urban hotel rooms, so we decided to replace it with the maxibar and in-villas mixologist. Given the luxuries of space, tranquillity and privacy on offer here, we believe our guests deserve to relax without inhibition, succumb to being spoiled – and enjoy themselves to the max.”
