Kings Canyon Resort Re-launches Aussie Outback Dining Experience

To herald the arrival of clear autumn skies and cooler temperatures in Australia, Kings Canyon Resort has re-launched its signature outback dining experience, Under a Desert Moon.
The experience offers guests a gourmet dinner of modern Australian cuisine amid the sparse, dramatic landscape of Australia’s red centre. The experience begins with sparkling wine and canapés at sunset, before moving on to a four-course dinner by firelight. Canapés like braised crocodile bound in a honey mustard aioli and roasted asparagus wrapped in emu prosciutto are succeeded by featured dishes including barbecued Moreton Bay Bugs cooked over an open fire, and mountain pepper –crusted beef fillet. Dessert includes a vanilla and lemon myrtle panna cotta with a lime mango purée.
The Under a Desert Moon experience is held at the central fire pit at Kings Canyon resort, and is limited to just six couples each night, making it an exclusive event. Priced at AU$99 (US$95), Under a Desert Moon operates between May 30 and October 31, 2013.
The Outback BBQ & Grill at Kings Canyon Resort has also re-opened for winter. Offering contemporary Australian BBQ, guests can enjoy the friendly atmosphere, socialise with other guests and relax on the traditional outback verandah. The restaurant also provides live entertainment six nights a week during the peak season of May to October.
