Half Century Celebration

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong will celebrate its 50th Anniversary this year by welcoming a series of Michelin-starred chefs from around the world, including Burkhard Bacher from the Michelin-starred restaurant Kleine Flamme in Sterzing, Italy, who will be the chef-in-residence of Café Causette June 3-9, bringing with him the authentic flavours and distinctive flair of Northern Italy.

Italian cuisine aficionados will be able to enjoy a selection of his signature dishes along with a special two- and three-course set dinner menu priced at HK$488 and HK$588 respectively, per person. Among the award-winning and innovative dishes on offer will be shrimp carpaccio with venere rice cake, mixed herbs and mustard vinaigrette; braised octopus and green chilli risotto in a red wine and oregano sauce; and lamb chop with Mediterranean herbs, cannellini beans, pecorino and passatelli.
