Photographer Chen Man to Exhibit at Metropolitan Como Bangkok

Renowned Chinese photographer Chen Man will hold an exhibition at the Metropolitan by Como, Bangkok, between April 25 and May 31 2013. The exhibition will be displayed in a pop-up gallery at the hotel’s iconic Met Bar, while some artwork will also be displayed in one of the hotel’s Penthouse suites. The show will include nine lightbox images and two printed works in the Met Bar, and six prints in the Penthouse suite. The exhibition also includes several items from Chen’s Bad Head series, which uses waste materials to champion the concept of environmentally friendly fashion.

Chen graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and is China’s leading fashion photographer. She frequently collaborates with luxury brands and magazines, including Versace, Chanel and Vogue China, while exhibiting her work around the world.

To celebrate her work, the hotel has created a Chen Man Afternoon tea, which includes a refreshing iced lychee, ginger and silver moon tea; bamboo, red bean and sesame cupcakes; and jasmine flower-scented mango and sticky rice parcels.

The exhibition is free to hotel guests and Met Bar customers, and an overnight stay in the Chen Man Penthouse suite will start at THB20,000.
