Culinary Kick off at Constance in Mauritius

The Bernard Loiseau Culinary Festival is set to thrill tastebuds at the Constance Belle Mare Plage, Mauritius, between March 18-26. The festival, an annual event since 2006, is a culinary competition which sees six of Europe’s finest chefs working alongside island chefs. For guests, it is an opportunity to sample food prepared by some of the world’s leading culinary talents. 

This year’s Michelin-starred chefs include Anita Klemensen of Denmark, Roman Paulus of the Czech Republic, William Drabble of the UK, Ezio Gritti of Italy, Robert Speth of Switzerlan, and Thierry Fernandes of France. Judges include Dominique Loiseau, President of the Jury, and Patrick Bertron, Chef of the Relais Bernard Loiseau.

Guests can participate in the event with cooking demonstrations, special menus created by the visiting chefs and the exciting prize-giving ceremony. Highlights will include a dinner at Constance Le Prince Maurice Resort on March 18 by Hellstrom Best – writer of the Constance: A Lifestyle cookbook - a cooking demonstration at Constance Belle Mare Plage’s Citronnelle restaurant on March 22.
