Ich Bin Ein Berliner

This week and into the weekend, the Ritz Carlton Guangzhou is dedicating its specialty restaurant FOODS to the German beer festival Oktoberfest. As part of the build up to the traditional tapping of the keg on October 10, daily culinary celebrations will be hosted by native Berliner and executive chef Daniel Schmidt. Guests will be introduced to traditional German cuisine, including grilled thüringer sausages with beer marinated pork neck; roasted pork knuckle with split peas and sauerkraut; kassler smoked pork; and apple mash sweet and sour dessert with egg liqueur and vanilla cream. A range of German beers have been specially imported for pairing with the culinary treats. Be sure to book ahead.
