Arty Activities

Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai has introduced a Lobby Art Tour program, available to the public on a complimentary basis. Located at the Himalayas Center, the Jumeirah Himalayas Shanghai is positioned as the new art, culture and commercial hub of Pudong, Shanghai. The Lobby Art Tour is the first of a series of launches in preparation to the opening of the Himalayas Art Museum.

With the support of Apple, the hotel lends iPod nano pre-loaded with information in English Mandarin featuring the artworks on display and explaining the Feng Shui elements of the hotel. This Lobby Art Tour program of Jumeirah Himalayas Shanghai is the first of its kind in China and is aligned with Jumeirah’s philosophy to Stay Different.

The Hotel Lobby of the Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel is the most lavish lobby in China with 40 art pieces on display, most of them from the private collection of Chairman Dai Zhikang, of Zendai Group, which owns the hotel. With the Apple iPod nano audio art tour, guests are able to enjoy a self-curated culture and art journey. The art pieces displayed in the lobby are changed regularly so that there is always something new to discover.
